Ferrari Amalfi Spider

The Amalfi Spider is the open-top version of Ferrari's front-engined Amalfi, with the same 640 PS twin-turbo V8 and a fabric roof that folds in 13.5 seconds. Two small rear seats add space for bags or children. It suits a buyer who wants an open Ferrari for relaxed drives, and right now it is listed for less than the Amalfi coupe.

Our verdict on the Amalfi Spider

The Amalfi Spider is the Ferrari we would choose for open-air touring in India. It keeps the coupe's strong V8 and calm front-engined layout, the fabric roof is quick and works on the move, and the small rear seats help with luggage. At ₹4.60 crore before options it is listed for less than the Amalfi coupe's ₹5.59 crore, which makes it the cheapest way into a current Ferrari here. Prices for Ferrari's petrol models are moving because of the India-EU trade agreement, and the coupe is being booked at about ₹4.08 crore for later delivery, so ask the dealer exactly which price applies to your car. It is heavier than the coupe and the boot shrinks with the roof down. Running costs, insurance and the small service network are the same concerns as with any Ferrari.

Good things

  • Open-top Ferrari at a lower list price than the coupe
  • Quick fabric roof that works at up to 60 km/h
  • Front-engined layout and small rear seats make it easier to live with

Could be better

  • 86 kg heavier than the coupe
  • Boot drops to 172 litres with the roof down
  • Ferrari does not publish fuel figures or ground clearance for the Spider
  • Prices are in flux around the India-EU trade agreement

Ferrari Amalfi Spider: the open Amalfi, for less than the coupe

The Amalfi Spider uses the same 3,855 cc twin-turbo V8 as the coupe, with 640 PS at 7,500 rpm and 760 Nm, driving the rear wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Ferrari claims 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 9.4 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h. Dry weight is 1,556 kg, 86 kg more than the coupe.

The fabric roof opens or closes in 13.5 seconds and can be used at up to 60 km/h. With the roof up the boot holds 255 litres, falling to 172 litres when the roof is stowed. The two rear seats are small and better for bags or children than adults. The cabin has the same screens as the coupe, including a display for the passenger.

Ferrari India launched the Amalfi Spider in July 2026 at ₹4.60 crore ex-showroom before options. That is below the coupe's ₹5.59 crore list price, although the coupe is being booked at about ₹4.08 crore for delivery after the India-EU trade agreement. Insurance, tyres and brakes are costly, and Ferrari workshops are found only in a few metro cities.

Why does the Spider cost less than the coupe?

The coupe's ₹5.59 crore list price dates from before Ferrari began taking lower trade-deal orders in May 2026, while the Spider launched in July 2026 at ₹4.60 crore. Indian media linked the Spider's price to the trade deal, but neither Ferrari nor Autocar India has said it depends on delivery timing. Ask the dealer to confirm the price for your delivery date in writing.

Is a soft-top Ferrari sensible in Indian weather?

Yes, with care. The fabric roof closes in 13.5 seconds and works at up to 60 km/h, so a sudden shower is not a problem. Heat and dust are the main enemies, so covered parking and regular cleaning of the roof and its seals help. In the hottest months most owners will drive with the roof up.

Amalfi Spider or 12Cilindri Spider?

The 12Cilindri Spider has an 830 PS V12 and costs about ₹9.15 crore before trade-deal discounts, roughly twice as much. It is a strict two-seater. For relaxed touring in India the Amalfi Spider gives most of the experience for far less money.
