Who we are
Smart4Wheels is an independent automotive consultancy operating in India. It is a sole proprietorship of Suyash Kamle, registered under the M.P. Shops and Establishments Act, 1958 (registration BHOP261001SE000032).

We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described below, in the sense used by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
When you enquire or book, we collect your name, mobile number, email address, and the city, state and pincode you give us. For a car-buying enquiry we also collect the car you are considering and your budget range. For a service pickup we collect the address we are to collect the car from.
When you pay, our payment gateway collects your payment details. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details — see "Payments" below.
When you sign in, we store the email address or mobile number you signed in with, and an identifier from Google if you used Google sign-in. One-time codes sent by SMS are stored only as a hash, and only until they expire.
Our server keeps ordinary web logs, which include IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry, to deliver the consultation or service you paid for, to send your booking confirmation and joining link, and to contact you about that booking.
To keep a record of payments, which we are required to retain for tax and accounting purposes.
To prevent abuse of the booking system — rate limiting, detecting automated submissions, and limiting how often a one-time code can be requested.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with dealers, insurers or workshops for marketing.
Payments
Payments are processed by Razorpay. Your card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay’s systems and are never transmitted to or stored by us. We receive only a payment reference, the amount, and whether the payment succeeded.
Razorpay processes that data as its own controller under its own privacy policy.
Who else sees your data
Google — if you book a video consultation, a calendar event is created and you are invited to it, so your email address reaches Google. Google sign-in, where you use it, tells us your email address and a stable account identifier.
Our SMS provider — your mobile number, in order to deliver a one-time sign-in code.
India Post — we look up the city and state for a pincode you type. Only the pincode is sent; nothing identifying you.
Our hosting and database providers, which store the data on our behalf.
We may disclose data where the law requires it.
Cookies
We set one cookie when you sign in, to keep you signed in. It is HttpOnly, meaning scripts on the page cannot read it, and it carries no personal data beyond an account reference.
We store your light or dark theme preference in your browser. It never leaves your device.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept for eight years, which is the retention period Indian tax law expects.
Enquiries that never became bookings are kept for two years and then deleted.
One-time sign-in codes expire in ten minutes and the record of them is swept periodically.
Your rights
You may ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent for us to contact you. Write to us at hello@smart4wheels.com and we will respond within thirty days.
Deleting your data may mean we can no longer honour a booking you have paid for, and we will tell you if that is the case before acting.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting bookings already made will be emailed to the address on the booking.
