Ferrari 12Cilindri
The 12Cilindri is Ferrari's front-engined V12 grand tourer and the successor to the 812 Superfast. Its 6.5-litre naturally aspirated engine makes 830 PS and revs to 9,500 rpm, with no turbos and no hybrid help. It suits a collector or enthusiast who wants the classic Ferrari V12 formula and can live with a strict two-seater.

Our verdict on the 12Cilindri
The 12Cilindri is one of the last front-engined V12 cars without turbos or batteries, and that is its whole appeal. The engine is the star, the four-wheel steering makes a long car feel smaller, and it is more comfortable on a long run than a mid-engined supercar. But at ₹8.50 crore it is expensive for a two-seater, it is wide at 2,176 mm, and it sits low. The bigger issue is timing: Indian media report that Ferrari is taking orders at about ₹5.89 crore for cars delivered after the India-EU trade agreement takes effect, expected in 2027 or 2028. Paying the full price now means accepting heavy depreciation once those cars arrive. Unless you need it immediately, we would book at the lower price and wait.
Good things
- Naturally aspirated V12 that revs to 9,500 rpm
- Four-wheel steering and comfortable long-distance manners
- Large saving available if you wait for the trade-deal price
Could be better
- Strict two-seater with limited luggage space
- Very wide at 2,176 mm; tricky in Indian traffic and parking
- Low ride height; Ferrari does not publish ground clearance
- Full price now looks poor value against the post-trade-deal order price

Ferrari 12Cilindri: the V12 Ferrari, best bought at the right time
The 12Cilindri replaces the 812 Superfast as Ferrari's front-engined V12 flagship. Its 6,496 cc engine has no turbochargers and no hybrid system, yet makes 830 PS at 9,250 rpm and 678 Nm, and revs to 9,500 rpm. Power goes to the rear wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Ferrari claims 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and a top speed above 340 km/h.
The car is 4,733 mm long and 2,176 mm wide, with a 2,700 mm wheelbase. Four-wheel steering helps it turn in quickly and settle at speed, and active flaps at the rear add downforce when needed. Inside there are two seats, with a separate display for the passenger. The 92-litre tank helps on long drives, but Ferrari's WLTP figure of 15.5 litres per 100 km shows how thirsty a V12 is.
In India the 12Cilindri coupe is listed at ₹8.50 crore ex-showroom. Ferrari is taking orders at about ₹5.89 crore for delivery after the India-EU trade agreement takes effect, which Indian media expect in 2027 or 2028. Insurance, tyres and brakes are expensive, and Ferrari workshops are found only in a few metro cities.
Should I wait for the India-EU trade deal price?
For most buyers, yes. Indian media report that dealers are booking the 12Cilindri at about ₹5.89 crore for delivery after the agreement takes effect, against ₹8.50 crore today. The lower price does not apply to cars delivered earlier and could still change, so get the terms in writing.
12Cilindri or 12Cilindri Spider?
The Spider adds a folding hard top for about ₹65 lakh more at list price, and it is 60 kg heavier. Performance is close: Ferrari quotes under 3.0 seconds to 100 km/h for the Spider. Choose the coupe if you want the sharper car, the Spider if open-air driving matters.
Is a V12 Ferrari usable in Indian cities?
It is possible but not easy. The car is very wide, sits low and Ferrari does not publish ground clearance, so narrow lanes, speed breakers and steep ramps need care. It is happiest on open highways. Plan servicing around the few Ferrari workshops in India.
