McLaren 750S

The 750S is McLaren's mid-engined V8 supercar, sold in India as a Coupe or a Spider with a folding hard top. Its 4.0 twin-turbo V8 makes 750 PS and McLaren claims 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. It suits a buyer who wants one of the last pure petrol supercars, and who can live with a low car, a single showroom in Mumbai and India prices that are changing after the India-UK trade deal.

Our verdict on the 750S

The 750S is a sharp, light and very fast car, and its hydraulic steering gives a feel that most rivals have lost. It is also near the end of its life: McLaren is taking last orders, and production ends in 2027. India prices are in flux. The listed ₹7.94 crore (Coupe) and ₹8.78 crore (Spider) were reported in June 2026 to be heading down by about ₹3 crore after the India-UK trade deal, but McLaren has not confirmed new figures. Do not sign anything without a written dealer quote. Running costs are high, ground clearance is just 107 mm, and sales and service sit with one retailer in Mumbai. If the reported cut arrives, the 750S becomes a strong case against the Ferrari 296 GTB and Lamborghini Temerario; at the old price it is hard to justify.

Good things

  • Hydraulic steering with real feel
  • Coupe has useful space behind the seats as well as a front boot

Could be better

  • Prices are changing after the India-UK trade deal; get a written dealer quote
  • Only 107 mm of ground clearance

McLaren 750S: a last pure V8 McLaren, at a price in flux

The 750S replaced the 720S in 2023 and reached India in January 2024. It keeps the carbon fibre monocoque and mid-mounted 4.0 twin-turbo V8, now making 750 PS and 800 Nm. McLaren claims 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 7.2 seconds and a top speed of 332 km/h. Power goes to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

McLaren quotes a dry weight of 1,277 kg and a DIN kerb weight of 1,389 kg for the Coupe; the Spider adds a folding hard top and 49 kg. Carbon ceramic brakes, adaptive suspension with Proactive Chassis Control III and an active rear wing are standard. The front boot holds 150 litres, and the Coupe has another 210 litres behind the seats.

In India the 750S is sold and serviced by Infinity Cars in Mumbai. Autocar India listed it at ₹7.94 crore for the Coupe and ₹8.78 crore for the Spider in June 2026, and reported that McLaren planned large cuts once the India-UK trade deal applied. McLaren has since confirmed nothing in public, so the price you pay may differ a lot from the listed figure.

Will the 750S get cheaper after the India-UK trade deal?

Possibly. The deal cuts import duty on British petrol cars above 3,000 cc, and the 750S qualifies. In June 2026 Autocar India and CarWale reported planned prices of about ₹4.94 crore for the Coupe and ₹5.46 crore for the Spider, but McLaren had not confirmed them. Ask the dealer for a written quote before booking.

Coupe or Spider?

The Spider has a folding hard top and costs more, but keeps the Coupe's 2.8 second 0-100 km/h claim. The Coupe is lighter and has far more space behind the seats (210 litres against 58). For Indian heat and traffic, we think the Coupe makes more sense.

Is the 750S being discontinued?

McLaren is taking final orders for the 750S, and production is due to end in 2027. That means a buyer now gets one of the last examples, but also a car that will soon be replaced. Factor that into resale expectations.
