Aston Martin Vanquish
Aston Martin's flagship, a two-seat front-engined coupe or convertible with an 835 PS twin-turbo V12. It is for a buyer who wants the most powerful Aston Martin road car in regular production and a V12 that few rivals still offer, and who values long-distance comfort over track lap times.

Our verdict on the Vanquish
The Vanquish is a rare thing in 2026: a new front-engined V12 grand tourer with no hybrid system. The India-UK trade deal has cut its price from about ₹10 crore to ₹6.40 crore, which brings it below the Ferrari 12Cilindri, its closest rival, and below many hybrid supercars that missed the duty cut. You get huge pace, a well-built cabin and long-distance comfort. You also get V12 fuel bills, very costly tyres and brakes, and a dealer network that is thin outside the big metros. Resale for flagship Aston Martins is uncertain. Buy it as a long-term car you will enjoy, not as an investment.
Good things
- 835 PS V12 with no hybrid weight or complexity
- Large price cut after the India-UK trade deal
- Comfortable enough for long highway trips
- Rare on Indian roads
Could be better
- Heavy fuel use, about 7 km/l even on the WLTP cycle
- Only two seats as standard
- Very small Aston Martin dealer network in India
- Flagship resale is uncertain

Aston Martin Vanquish: an 835 PS V12 without a hybrid in sight
The Vanquish returned in 2024 as Aston Martin's flagship front-engined car. Its 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 makes 835 PS and 1,000 Nm, sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic and an electronic differential. Aston Martin quotes 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and a 345 km/h top speed. It is a car built for long, fast drives rather than lap times.
India gets the coupe at ₹6.40 crore and the Volante convertible at ₹6.90 crore, both indicative ex-showroom. The coupe launched here at ₹8.85 crore in 2025; lower import duty under the India-UK trade deal brought it down sharply. Carbon fibre bodywork, carbon ceramic brakes and adaptive dampers are standard, and most buyers will still add options.
The cabin is a two-seater, with two small rear seats as an option. It has a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch driver display, Apple CarPlay Ultra, Android Auto and a 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins system. The coupe boot holds 248 litres, enough for a weekend away for two, while the Volante's roof cuts that to 219 litres.
Vanquish or Ferrari 12Cilindri?
Both are front-engined V12 grand tourers. The Ferrari revs higher and has stronger resale and a wider following, but it costs more in India. The Vanquish is now much cheaper and slightly more comfortable on a long drive. For value, the Aston Martin wins; for resale, the Ferrari.
Coupe or Volante?
The Volante adds a fabric roof that opens in 14 seconds at up to 50 km/h and a roll-over protection system. It weighs about 95 kg more and its boot is smaller. Choose it only if you will often drive with the roof down.
What are the running costs like?
Aston Martin's WLTP figure is about 7 km/l and real city use will be lower. Tyres, carbon ceramic brakes and V12 servicing are expensive, and parts may need to come from the UK. Ask the dealer about service packages and pick-up before buying.
