McLaren GTS
The GTS is McLaren's grand tourer: a mid-engined two-seater with a 635 PS 4.0 twin-turbo V8, softer suspension and a proper rear luggage bay. It replaced the GT and is the most practical McLaren on sale in India. It suits a buyer who wants supercar looks and pace for long drives, and who accepts that India prices are changing after the India-UK trade deal.

The only version. It makes sense if you want a McLaren you can tour in with luggage. At the listed ₹6.15 crore it is poor value; if the reported cut to about ₹3.83 crore is confirmed, it becomes a much easier car to recommend.

Our verdict on the GTS
The GTS is the McLaren we would use most often. It rides more gently than the 750S, the nose lift helps on Indian roads, and the rear bay takes real luggage. It is still a low, wide supercar with dihedral doors, so it is not a Porsche 911 for daily ease. Prices are the problem. Autocar India listed it at ₹6.15 crore in June 2026, which is more than the faster Artura, and reported a planned cut to about ₹3.83 crore after the India-UK trade deal that McLaren has not confirmed. Get a written dealer quote before deciding. If the lower figure is real, the GTS is a fair rival to the Aston Martin Vantage and Porsche 911 Turbo; at ₹6.15 crore we would look elsewhere.

McLaren GTS: the McLaren you can take on a road trip
The GTS replaced the McLaren GT in 2024. It keeps the carbon fibre MonoCell II-T tub and mid-mounted 4.0 twin-turbo V8, now making 635 PS and 630 Nm. McLaren claims 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 8.9 seconds and a top speed of 326 km/h. A 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox drives the rear wheels.
What sets it apart from other McLarens is space and comfort. There is a 150 litre boot up front and a 420 litre bay under the glass tailgate at the back, enough for soft bags or golf clubs. Adaptive dampers have a Comfort mode, and a nose lift raises the front from 1,213 mm to 1,234 mm overall height for ramps and speed breakers.
In India the GTS is sold and serviced by Infinity Cars in Mumbai. Autocar India listed it at ₹6.15 crore ex-showroom in June 2026 and reported that McLaren planned to cut it to about ₹3.83 crore once the India-UK trade deal applied. McLaren has not confirmed this, so treat any figure as indicative until a dealer quotes it in writing.
Is the GTS the same as the McLaren GT?
It is the updated version. McLaren renamed the GT as the GTS in 2024, with more power (635 PS against 620 PS), a lighter body and revised styling. Some price sites still list the old GT name and old prices, so check which car a quote refers to.
How practical is the GTS for Indian roads?
More than any other McLaren. The nose lift helps with ramps and speed breakers, the ride is softer, and there is real luggage space front and rear. It is still a low two-seater with wide doors, so tight parking and broken roads need care.
Will the GTS price fall after the India-UK trade deal?
Reports from June 2026 say McLaren planned to cut it to about ₹3.83 crore, because import duty on British petrol cars above 3,000 cc is falling. McLaren had not confirmed it. Ask the dealer for the current written price before you book.
