Maserati GranTurismo
Maserati's four-seat grand tourer, powered in India by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 with 490 PS or 550 PS in the Trofeo, and all-wheel drive. It suits a buyer who wants a fast, comfortable long-distance coupe with usable rear seats and something rarer than a Porsche or Bentley.

Our verdict on the GranTurismo
The GranTurismo is a genuine four-seat grand tourer: fast, comfortable over long distances and much more distinctive than most cars at this price. All-wheel drive helps put the power down in the wet, and the boot is usable for a weekend away. The usual Maserati caveats apply. Dealers and workshops are few, resale has historically been weak, and Maserati India does not publish its own price, so the figures here come from Autocar India and differ from other sites. Prices have fallen since launch, and the India-EU trade agreement could move them again. The electric Folgore version is not yet priced for India. If you want the most car for the money and can live with a small network, the 490 PS GranTurismo makes a strong case; if resale matters more, a Porsche 911 is the safer bet.
Good things
- Strong, flexible V6 performance with all-wheel drive
- Real rear seats and a usable boot for a coupe
- Comfortable long-distance cruiser
- Rare on Indian roads
Could be better
- Very small Maserati dealer and service network
- Weak resale history compared with Porsche
- Maserati India publishes no price; media figures disagree
- Ground clearance and fuel economy are not published

Maserati GranTurismo: a four-seat grand tourer with a V6 heart
The current GranTurismo arrived in India in 2024, replacing the old V8 car. Both petrol versions use the 3.0-litre twin-turbo Nettuno V6, with 490 PS and 600 Nm in the standard car and 550 PS and 650 Nm in the Trofeo. Power goes to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic. Maserati claims 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds for the GranTurismo and 3.5 seconds for the Trofeo.
At almost five metres long with a 2,929 mm wheelbase, it has space for four adults on shorter trips and a 310-litre boot. The cabin has a 12.2-inch digital instrument display, a central touchscreen and Maserati's digital clock. A head-up display, Level 2 driver assistance and a Sonus faber sound system are offered, but check which are standard on the car you are quoted.
Maserati India does not list rupee prices for the GranTurismo. Autocar India's current figures are about ₹2.54 crore and ₹2.72 crore ex-showroom, lower than the 2024 launch prices of ₹2.72 crore and ₹2.90 crore. The 761 PS electric GranTurismo Folgore appears on Maserati's India site but has no published Indian price yet.
GranTurismo or Trofeo?
Both use the same V6, gearbox and all-wheel drive. The Trofeo adds 60 PS, 50 Nm, larger rear wheels and a claimed 0.4 seconds off the 0-100 km/h time, for about ₹17 lakh more. On Indian roads the standard car is quick enough, and we would keep the difference.
Can adults sit in the back?
Yes, for shorter journeys. It is one of the few coupes at this price that is a genuine four-seater rather than a 2+2. Long trips with four adults will feel tight in the rear, but it is far more usable than most sports coupes.
Will the price change?
Prices have already fallen since the 2024 launch. The India-EU trade agreement is expected to lower import duties on European cars over time, but Maserati India has announced nothing. Since Maserati does not publish its own Indian price, get a written quote from the dealer before booking.
