The manual at ₹13.93 lakh adds the sunroof, alloys, wireless charger, LaneWatch camera and LED fog lamps over V. It is the trim with the features most owners use, without ZX money.

  • V₹12.29 lakh

The V CVT at ₹13.79 lakh is the cheapest automatic Elevate, and it gets paddle shifters, an electronic parking brake with auto hold and rear discs. A sensible pick for city drivers who can live without a sunroof.

Our verdict on the Elevate

The Elevate is a straightforward SUV that does the basics well: a spacious cabin, a 458-litre boot, 220 mm of ground clearance and a smooth, proven 1.5 petrol. Six airbags and stability control are standard, and the facelift adds features such as ventilated rear seats and a 360-degree camera on the new ZX+. The weak point is the engine range. With only 121 PS and 145 Nm, and no turbo, diesel or hybrid, it feels ordinary next to rivals that offer all three. The VX manual at ₹13.93 lakh is the one we would buy. The ZX+ CVT at ₹18.30 lakh asks a lot for a car with this engine, and at that money a Creta or Seltos turbo or a strong hybrid is worth driving first.

Good things

  • Roomy cabin, 458-litre boot and 220 mm of ground clearance
  • Six airbags, ESC and hill-start assist on every version
  • V CVT gets paddles, electronic parking brake and rear discs at ₹13.79 lakh
  • Honda Sensing ADAS and ventilated seats available from the ZX

Could be better

  • One engine only: 121 PS and 145 Nm, with no turbo, diesel or hybrid
  • Claimed mileage of 15.31 km/l (manual) is modest for the class
  • ZX+ CVT at ₹18.30 lakh is steep for the engine on offer
  • No automatic on the base SV

Honda Elevate: the sensible petrol SUV, now better equipped

The Elevate is Honda’s mid-size SUV, a rival to the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Grand Vitara. The October 2026 facelift brought new lighting, a revised grille and a new top trim, ZX+, but left the engine alone. Prices run from ₹11.80 lakh to ₹18.40 lakh ex-showroom across SV, V, VX, ZX, ZX+ and ZX+ Black.

Every Elevate uses a 1.5 petrol with 121 PS and 145 Nm. The SV is manual only; the other trims offer a six-speed manual or a CVT, which costs about ₹1.5 lakh more. Claimed mileage is 15.31 km/l for the manual and 16.61 km/l for the CVT. Honda does not offer a turbo, diesel or hybrid Elevate, so the choice comes down to gearbox and trim.

Safety is good across the range, with six airbags, ESC, hill-start assist and rear sensors as standard. The VX adds a sunroof and the LaneWatch side camera, the ZX adds Honda Sensing ADAS and ventilated front seats, and the ZX+ adds ventilated rear seats, powered front seats and a 360-degree camera.

Which variant should you buy?

The VX manual at ₹13.93 lakh. It has the sunroof, 17-inch alloys, wireless charger, LaneWatch camera, fog lamps and auto headlamps on top of the V’s touchscreen and camera. Go to ZX only if you want ADAS and ventilated seats, which add ₹1.46 lakh.

Manual or CVT?

The CVT adds ₹1.46-1.50 lakh depending on trim and claims slightly better mileage. It is smooth in traffic and on the V trim also brings paddles, an electronic parking brake and rear disc brakes. If you drive mostly in the city, the V CVT at ₹13.79 lakh is good value.

Is the new ZX+ worth it?

It adds ventilated rear seats, powered front seats, a 360-degree camera, front sensors and dual-tone paint for ₹1.41 lakh over the ZX. Those are comfort features rather than essentials. At ₹16.80 lakh manual and ₹18.30 lakh CVT, you are paying top-end money for a 121 PS car.

How does it compare with the Hyundai Creta?

The Creta offers a diesel, a turbo petrol and more features at the top. The Elevate counters with more ground clearance, a larger boot and a simpler, well-proven petrol drivetrain. If you want petrol only and value space over gadgets, the Elevate is a sound choice; if you want more power or diesel, look at the Creta.
